This policy explains how Nick Weston, trading as RNNNG ("I", "me", "RNNNG"), collects and uses your personal data when you use this website or my coaching services. I am the data controller responsible for your information under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What I collect
- Contact form details — your name, email, optional phone, running goal, experience and the message you send.
- Coaching account data — if you sign up for coaching, the information you provide in your athlete profile, training history, and any health information you choose to share.
- Technical data — basic server logs (IP address, browser, pages visited) kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.
How I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and discuss whether coaching is a fit.
- To deliver coaching: write your plan, give feedback, and stay in touch.
- To keep this site working, secure, and free from abuse.
- To meet legal obligations such as tax and accounting records.
I will never sell your data, and I won't use it for marketing without your explicit consent.
Legal bases
I rely on legitimate interests (to respond to your enquiry and run my business), contract (to deliver coaching you've signed up for), consent (for optional things like the newsletter — you can withdraw it any time), and legal obligation(for records I have to keep).
Who sees your data
Your data is processed by a small number of trusted providers acting on my behalf: hosting and database providers for this website, an email delivery provider to send replies and notifications, and the coaching/athlete app I use to deliver training. I only share what's needed for each service to function.
How long I keep it
- Contact enquiries: up to 24 months, then deleted.
- Coaching records: for as long as we work together, plus 6 years for tax/accounting purposes.
- Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete, or restrict use of your personal data, and you can object to processing or withdraw consent. Email nick@rnnng.co.uk and I'll respond within one month. If you're not happy with my response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
