I'm Nick — a UK Athletics qualified Leader in Run Fitness (licence 2791713), based in Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland. I've been running for more than 20 years and competing at everything from 5k track events to 100-mile ultramarathons. I've represented Northern Ireland and Ulster at 100km, and lined up at the Abbott Age Group World Marathon Championships in NYC 2025.
I'm also a cyclist and triathlete with four Ironman finishes — UK, Wales, Nice and Challenge Roth. Across the years I've run over 30 marathons on road and trail, including four London Marathons at good-for-age or championship level, and six finishes over 100 miles — two sub-30-hour Lakeland 100s and two podiums at Centurion Running 100s. I currently race for East Antrim Harriers and Athletics NI.
I've coached, guided and written training plans for more than 10 years. That experience is what I bring to every athlete I work with — a plan built specifically for you, written feedback every week, and someone in your corner when training gets hard. No spreadsheets, no copy-paste.
Off the road, I grew up in England and now live in Co. Antrim with my wife and two children. I'm also a veterinary surgeon, qualifying from Bristol University in 2007.
"Run your life. Don't let running run it."

Pacing & group leading
On the flag. On the front.
I pace clients to PBs in races across Ireland and the UK, and lead groups as part of my UK Athletics Leader in Run Fitness qualification — from early-morning head-torch sessions to hill reps above Belfast. Coaching that shows up in person, not just in a spreadsheet.

Off the road
Family, the Mournes, and the day job.
Home is Co. Antrim with my wife and two kids. When I'm not coaching or running, I'm a veterinary surgeon — qualified from Bristol University in 2007. Coaching fits around real life, because mine does too.
